I'm just learning to knit and crochet too! I got a sewing machine for chirtsmas so I'm trying with that too :)
What would you say are good projects for crochet beginners? :)
Great newbie projects are things like scarves, which are basically just long rectangles, and hats to practise working in the round. If you have any digital devices, cases and sleeves are great too. And there are a TON of great, simple afghan patterns if you want something a little more substantial. [I’m working on a granny stripes one myself right now!]
This week I’ve decided not to have a theme, as my husband is on vacation and I’ll likely be quite busy trying to catch up on work, housework, and on getting things ready for Crafty-licious’ expansion! :D So there will be a nice mix of this and that, I hope you enjoy it!
On a somewhat related note, I apologize for a distinct lack of posting lately. We’ve been having both internet issues and hardware issues, which has made posting very difficult. But they should be resolved soon, so there should be more in the future.
Also, I want to say a big HELLO to all the new followers! You guys are amazing, keep spreading the word, the more followers I have the quicker I can get my plans for Crafty-licious going!
What's yoir favourite craft and why? :)
What crafta do you do yourself?
OOO, good question!
My favorite would probably be crocheting, it’s so relaxing and there are a ton of different things you can make.
Myself, I crochet and do paper crafts mostly [cards, bookmarks, etc.] But I occasionally cross stitch and sew as well. I used to knit a little bit, but I’ve forgotten how, though I’d love to relearn sometime soon.
That’s right folks, this week I’ll be bringing you the best of geeky, nerdy handmade items and art! I personally have a few geeky interests that I hope to show off, but I would love to hear about what you like and want to see. So send in your submissions, let’s seem ‘em!
